BEAR built out a beautiful, 33,000 sq. ft. tenant space for Narrative Science at 1 N Dearborn, which is managed by MB Real Estate. Wright Heerema was the architect and Charlie Greene Studio designed the space. Wellness features such as sit-to-stand work stations, a café, a Halsted room and library encourages employees to choose how they want to work. 17’ open deck ceilings, exposed Tek crete and Ardex floors and a wood, homasote feature ceiling are just a few of the elements that really make this space unique. 205/225 N MICHIGAN, CHICAGO
MB Real Estate retained BEAR to remodel their lobby at 205/225 N Michigan, Chicago. The renovation included a new skylight, a tension fabric ceiling with LED lights, glass columns and fascias and a lobby kiosk. A new security desk tucked under a 766 pendant light fixture is a show stopper all by itself and underscores the dramatic new look. Project Executive Josh Christ, Superintendent Mike Reda, Project Team Supervisor Pam Kowalski and Assistant Project Manager Gianna Scarsella teamed up to manage the project for BEAR. Nice Job!
GARTNER, CHICAGO
A fast-paced 14-week schedule was created by BEAR to complete the 74K sq. ft. Gartner space located at River North Point, managed by Equity Office. BEAR’s team lead by Project Executive Tim Kosogof and Superintendent Tony Melone channeled communications with the out of town design and engineering teams.?High end finishes, decorative fixtures and an artistic mix of felt panels and wood beams created a warm ambiance and managed acoustics.?Assistant Project Manager Gianna Scarsella supported the project. 180 N LASALLE STREET AMENITY CENTER, CHICAGO
Callahan Management Company decided to build an amenity center in their 180 N LaSalle Street building, so they engaged Wright Heerema as their architect and BEAR as their general contractor. A new lounge, conference center and management office surround a fitness center, all of which highlight a variety of decorative light fixtures and lively finishes. BEAR’s Chief Estimator Paul Lyons bid the project that was managed by BEAR’s Project Manager Scott Hopkins, Superintendent Rudy Campanotto and Engineer Nick Kilianek.
SUMMER KICK OFF BBQ
BEAR's summer kick off BBQ, held at their headquarters in Rolling Meadows, was a tasty event. EVP Jim Wienold started smoking beef briskets and pork bellies at midnight.? Dogs and burgers, side dishes and a variety of “dips” along with good drink and conversation made for a wonderful way to end the work week.? Michele Falk’s BLT dip ran away from the other 13 contestants and earned her the title of “Dip off Champ” until next year!
