Combined Center Redevelopment Phase 1
Demolished existing precast post-tension canopy
Performed structural analysis and cutting of post-tension tendons prior to slab removal
Installed new structural steel columns in occupied tenant spaces on the first floor to support the new canopy structure. Steel columns were also installed on new concrete footings in the lower level fitness center. Fitness center and tenant spaces remained open during construction without interruption.?
Full lobby and three-story atrium renovation which included the removal of large precast concrete planter walls to replace with sleek new glass for tenants to overlook the beautiful lobby
Five floors of updated restrooms, corridors and elevator lobbies
Five-month project requiring intricate phasing and logistic plans that were developed with JLL in order to disrupt tenants as little as possible

2019 Polar Plunge

?

On Sunday, March 3rd, 2019, BEAR employees plunged into the icy waters of Lake Michigan at North Avenue Beach to raise money for the Chicago Special Olympics! With the support of hundreds of other cold, bold and brave Chicagoans, the Polar Plunge raised over $1,790,000 for the Chicago Special Olympics. This fantastic fundraiser supports year-round sports training and athletic competition to adults and children with intellectual disabilities.

Rolling Meadows Business Recognition

The City of Rolling Meadows and Community Events Foundation certification was presented by Rolling Meadows Mayor Len Prejna (pictured middle).

BEAR's Industrial & Special Projects Division (ISPD) enjoyed a night filled with Louisiana style Cajun Zydeco music, authentic Louisiana-style food, and mingling with notables like Katarina Villapondo, Colleen Koepke, and Dave Prioletti. The 2019 SIOR Mardi Gras event was a night to remember.
